Testimonials Dear Alan, My husband and I spend September at your lovely apartment and had a wonderful time. All utilities were available and Alan and his wife made sure our stay was very comfortable. I mostly enjoyed the great view, my husband watched most of the DVDs and we really did feel quiet at home. Since we were traveling with my 2 year old, I had to cook her favourite foods, the kitchen was perfect as I had access to everything at arms length. Furthermore all the towns on the Costa Del Sol are within easy reach, with Benalmadena only 2 Km away, Mijas 4 Km, Fuengirola 4 Km, Torremolinos 10 Km, Malaga 22 Km, and Marbella 34 Km. Driving Directions From The Airport Follow the exit road and after the roundabout you will see the huge facilities of the "San Miguel" brewery on your right. Take the right lane for the Western Costa del Sol and Algeciras. This lane joins the N340 coast road heading West to Benalmadena. Take the Exit 217 signposted Mijas and Benalmadena. At the bottom of exit road turn left and go under the bridge. You will see a Shell Garage and the Security Gatehouse of Reserva del Higueron immediately in front of you. On entering Reserva del Higueron you will need to follow the road straight down, at the first roundabout turn left. At the next roundabout turn left again. You will see the Country Club on your right, drive past and look for the apartment block Named Campanilla We also have gated reserved secure parking in the apartment block which is accesed via a remote control unit supplied for the duration of your holiday. We can store any empty suitcases in our secure storeroom in the garage this will free up space in the apartment for your comfort. we can also supply beach towels if required Country Club & Spa the Country Club and Spa which is literally only two minutes walk away has a heated indoor pool, spa, sauna, turkish bath, gym, beauty treatments, restaurant, outdoor pool, tennis and paddle courts and childrens play area Just 10 minutes drive away is the charming harbour of Puerto Marina in Benalmadena. With its many Spanish and international restaurants you will find this a great place to eat out and sample the choices on offer. Take a walk to see all the yachts in the marina, go fishing or Dolphin watching, visit the Selwo Marina Park, take take a cable car ride up to the peak of the Carramolo mountain, visit the Tivoli or go for a long stroll along the beach Things you need to know about Benalmadena Railways The railway station for Benalmadena is located in Arroyo de la Miel, close to the Tivoli Theme Park. Trains run from here to Fuengirola and Malaga. Train travel is cheap and very efficient. Buses The coastal bus service runs along the seafront road. There is also an excellent circular service running between the village (Benalmadena Pueblo) and the port. Market Days** Arroyo de la Miel: Flea market - Wednesday Normal market - Friday morning Normal market - Sunday morning Mijas (about 10 mins drive from the apartment) Mijas is a traditional Andalucian village with whitewashed streets, nestling in a mountain landscape. In Mijas the following events take place throughout the month. Every Tuesday (except July and August). Weekly Flamenco shows organised by the town hall at midday in the main square in Mijas village. The entertainers are the municipal dance group and spectators are offered a free glass of Malaga wine, courtesy of the Mijas Tourist Office.
